What is Keystroke?

Keystroke preview

Keystroke is an automation platform that flips the usual builder model: instead of dragging nodes on a canvas, you describe the agent or workflow you want and let your coding agent (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.) write it as real TypeScript inside your own repository. Keystroke then supplies the managed runtime that lifts that code into production — handling integrations, credential storage, scheduling, and run history. Because every agent and workflow is plain, version-controlled TypeScript rather than a proprietary flowchart, teams can review changes in git, write tests, and run the same logic anywhere, avoiding the lock-in typical of visual automation tools like n8n or Zapier. The platform bundles over 1,000 pre-built app integrations plus support for arbitrary HTTP APIs and MCP servers, so agents can plug straight into tools like Slack, Gmail, Linear, and Salesforce. It is open source under the ELv2 license and backed by Y Combinator.

Key Features

  • Code-First Agent Framework

Agents and workflows are authored as ordinary TypeScript in your own repository, so they can be reviewed, tested, and version-controlled with standard git tooling instead of a locked visual editor.

  • 1,000+ Built-In Integrations

Ships with prebuilt connectors for Slack, Google, Linear, Salesforce, and hundreds more, plus the ability to wire up any HTTP API or MCP server.

  • Persistent Agent Memory & Workspace

Agents get durable memory across runs, a file system, code execution, and an isolated sandbox for tasks that need state or computation.

  • Durable Workflows with Human Approval

Deterministic, typed workflow steps can be chained with agent reasoning, and runs can pause for human sign-off before high-risk actions execute.

  • Event, Schedule, and Webhook Triggers

Automations can start on cron schedules, incoming webhooks, polling of external systems, or events like a new Linear issue or ended meeting.

  • Shared Team Workspace & Governance

Teams collaborate on agents, skills, and context in one project, with role-based access, usage limits, and full run-level observability.

Use Cases

  • Sales & Revenue Ops : Auto-enrich new leads, draft prospect briefings ahead of meetings, and flag accounts that have gone quiet for re-engagement outreach.
  • Support & Customer Ops : Triage incoming support emails, draft replies grounded in internal docs, and escalate anything that needs a human to Linear.
  • Finance & Bookkeeping : Reconcile Stripe payouts against ledgers, match bank transactions to accounting entries, and flag unused recurring subscriptions.
  • Engineering Workflows : Summarize merged pull requests into release notes, correlate incident alerts with recent deploys, and triage new error reports against open tickets.
  • Personal Productivity : Build a morning briefing agent that scans calendar, inbox, and project updates, or an assistant that manages email through simple text requests.
