What is Memmy?
Memmy is an open-source memory layer built for developers who juggle multiple AI coding and chat tools in the same workflow. Instead of re-explaining your preferences, tech stack decisions, and project history every time you switch from Cursor to Claude Code to Codex, Memmy scans your local agent conversation history, distills it into structured, deduplicated memory, and injects only the relevant context into whichever tool you're using next. It ships as a desktop app with a task workbench and always-on desktop pet, a CLI, and an HTTP API, so the same accumulated knowledge can be reached from a GUI, terminal, or third-party integration. All data is stored on-device by default and nothing is scanned or uploaded without explicit user authorization.
