What is Meetily?

Meetily is an open-source meeting note taker built for teams and individuals who don't want their conversations touched by third-party clouds. It captures system audio directly from Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or any other platform without a bot ever joining the call, then transcribes it in real time using local Whisper or Parakeet models. Summaries can be generated locally through Ollama, via a user's own API key for Claude, OpenAI, or Groq, or through Meetily's optional hosted AI service. With MIT-licensed code, native desktop apps for macOS and Windows, and a self-hostable architecture, Meetily positions itself as the transparent, no-subscription alternative to tools like Otter.ai and Fireflies.
