What is Vendo?

Vendo preview

Vendo is an open-source agentic interface for SaaS products. It enables customers to describe the workflows, views, and tools they need, then generates functional micro-apps directly within the host product. These apps can combine UI, product data, actions, automations, and state while remaining aligned with the product’s existing design system, APIs, and permission model. Vendo can also surface these experiences in the product, through ChatGPT or Claude, and on schedules.

Key Features

  • Customer-Built Micro-Apps

Turns natural-language requests into persistent micro-apps with interfaces, data, logic, and actions instead of returning a one-off answer.

  • On-Demand Dashboards

Creates custom views and dashboards around the specific metrics, records, or workflows each customer needs.

  • Workflow Automations

Converts recurring requests into scheduled workflows that can run automatically with saved state and rules.

  • Product-Aware Integration

Scans an application’s routes, components, theme, APIs, and policies to generate experiences that fit the existing product.

  • Permission-Constrained Actions

Runs generated apps in the signed-in customer’s context and keeps actions within their existing permissions, with safeguards for destructive operations.

  • Multi-Surface Access

Makes generated product experiences available in the embedded product interface, external AI assistants, and scheduled executions.

Use Cases

  • Self-Serve Product Customization : SaaS customers can create tailored views and workflows without submitting feature requests or waiting for product roadmap updates.
  • Operational Dashboards : Teams can generate focused dashboards for questions such as unusual spending, account activity, support performance, or usage trends.
  • Recurring Business Monitoring : Users can schedule checks, alerts, and actions for recurring tasks such as weekly reporting, threshold monitoring, or account reviews.
  • Connected Workflows : Customers can bring tools such as Gmail, Slack, and GitHub into product-specific workflows while using their own authenticated access.
  • Embedded Agent Experiences : Product teams can add an agentic layer that expands what users can do without building every niche workflow as a native feature.
