What is Superdesign?

Superdesign is an open-source design agent that integrates seamlessly into development environments like Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, and VS Code. Rather than switching between separate design tools and code editors, developers can describe UI requirements in plain language within their IDE and instantly receive production-ready designs. The platform generates full UI screens, reusable components, and low-fidelity wireframes while maintaining complete local processing for privacy and performance. All designs are saved locally in the .superdesign/ folder, allowing developers to fork, iterate, and evolve designs using version-control-like workflows before integrating them into projects.
