Product Overview
What is Port22?
Port22 turns a Mac into a remote-controllable coding agent hub. A lightweight Mac binary watches the terminal sessions a developer already has open, while a companion iPhone app streams the live transcript, flags when an agent is stuck or finished, and lets the user tap the exact options the agent offered instead of guessing a keystroke. Rather than forking or wrapping the session, Port22 attaches directly to what's already running, and it pairs devices through an existing Apple ID with no separate login required. The result is a way to keep long agent runs moving without staying tethered to a desk.
Key Features
Live Session Attachment
Connects directly to the Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode session already open in a terminal, with no forking, wrapping, or extra configuration.
Full Transcript Streaming
Streams every token as the agent thinks, edits files, and runs commands, giving a real-time view of its work from any device.
Contextual Approval Prompts
Push notifications surface the agent's actual multi-option prompt as tappable buttons, so approvals reflect real choices rather than a blind keystroke.
At-a-Glance Status
A live count on the Dynamic Island and lock screen shows every session's status without needing to open the app.
Seamless Network Switching
Runs over LAN at the desk and automatically falls back to an end-to-end encrypted relay on cellular, keeping the same live session either way.
iCloud-Based Pairing
Mac and iPhone pair automatically through a shared Apple ID, skipping QR codes or a separate Port22 account.
Use Cases
- Remote Agent Supervision : Developers can step away from their desk during a long agent run and still watch progress unfold live on their phone.
- Fast Approval Handling : Quickly approve or deny file edits and command executions from wherever they are, instead of returning to the Mac to unblock a stalled session.
- Multi-Session Tracking : Developers running several agents across different projects can check which sessions are active and which need attention from a single screen.
- Reducing Idle Downtime : Eliminates the common pattern of an agent sitting idle for tens of minutes waiting on a single approval the developer never saw.
- On-the-Go Coding Workflow : Enables developers to keep coding agents productive from a coffee shop, commute, or anywhere outside the home network.
