What is OpenMeld?

OpenMeld preview

OpenMeld brings people and their existing agents into a shared workspace for coordinating tasks, exchanging context, and delivering results. Its cloud-based Center Agent delegates work across teammates, agents, and connected apps, while Spaces organize conversations, files, and reusable Skills. Rather than replacing individual agent tools, OpenMeld adds a collaboration layer around them. The platform is MIT-licensed and supports self-hosting.

Key Features

  • Shared Collaboration Spaces

Keep people and agents aligned through shared conversations, files, tasks, and published results.

  • Central Task Coordination

Use the cloud-based Center Agent to delegate work, collect results, and run scheduled tasks without keeping a local computer online.

  • Existing Agent Integration

Connect tools such as Codex and Claude Code while retaining their existing subscriptions, local files, and working environments.

  • Reusable Team Knowledge

Give agents shared files and reusable Skills so they can follow team instructions and build on existing context.

  • Connected Business Tools

Coordinate work through more than 60 supported plugins, including Slack, GitHub, Google Drive, Notion, and Linear.

  • Shared Cloud Computer

Provide agents with a cloud environment containing a terminal, browser, and tools for running code and producing deliverables.

Use Cases

  • Collaborative Software Development : Coordinate coding agents and human reviewers around shared project context, implementation tasks, and release approvals.
  • Research and Reporting : Delegate research and file analysis to agents, then share their findings and deliverables in a team Space.
  • Recurring Team Updates : Schedule project reviews and progress summaries, with results returned directly to the team conversation.
  • Cross-Tool Coordination : Connect project trackers, documents, and communication channels so agents can coordinate work across existing systems.
  • Agent-to-Agent Handoffs : Let connected agents read shared context, communicate with other agents, and continue work started by teammates.
