What is BAND?

BAND is an infrastructure platform that provides a shared operational layer for distributed AI agents and human teams. It enables agents built on different frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, and Pydantic AI to discover each other, exchange context, delegate tasks, and collaborate in real time without changing how they run. The platform features a two-layer architecture consisting of an Agentic Mesh for agent interaction and a Control Plane for governance, visibility, and authority enforcement. BAND keeps agents' existing runtime, prompts, tools, and LLM providers while adding persistent identity, multi-agent coordination, structured memory, and a unified audit trail.
