ATXP
Infrastructure protocol that gives AI agents a persistent account with identity, payments, email, and access to 14+ tools — all pay-as-you-go, no subscriptions needed.
Product Overview
What is ATXP?
ATXP (Agent Transaction Protocol) is an infrastructure layer built by Circuit & Chisel that gives AI agents a complete operational account. Instead of requiring developers to manage a growing stack of API keys, separate billing accounts, and vendor subscriptions, ATXP bundles everything an agent needs into a single account: a persistent identity handle, an Ethereum wallet, an @atxp.email address, and unified access to LLM inference plus over 14 tools. Agents can self-register via CLI with no human login required, and each call deducts IOU tokens at pass-through rates. The protocol is designed to give agents genuine economic autonomy — the ability to pay for their own inference and tools without pausing for a human to provision new credentials.
Key Features
Unified LLM Gateway
Single OpenAI-compatible endpoint for Claude, GPT-4, Gemini, Llama, and more. New models are added automatically — no client re-engineering required when switching providers.
Agent Identity & Email
Each agent gets a persistent handle and a real @atxp.email address that survives across sessions, enabling agents to send, receive, and respond to email programmatically.
Built-in Ethereum Wallet
Every ATXP account includes an Ethereum wallet, allowing agents to hold balances and fund themselves via crypto deposits or shareable payment links.
14+ Pay-Per-Use Tools
On-demand access to web search, browsing, image generation, video, music, code execution, and file storage — all billed from a single IOU token balance with no separate vendor accounts.
Agent Self-Registration
Agents can create their own ATXP account autonomously via a single CLI command — no email verification, no credit card form, and $5 in starter credits included.
Framework-Agnostic Integration
Works with LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenAI Agents SDK, Claude Code, and any framework that supports HTTP calls. An optional SDK provides convenience wrappers over the REST API.
Use Cases
- Autonomous Agent Development : Developers building self-directed agents can provision full operational accounts for each agent without managing separate API keys or subscriptions per capability.
- Multi-Agent Orchestration : Teams running agent swarms can give each sub-agent its own account and identity, enabling per-agent auditability and independent billing for every tool call.
- Research & Prototyping : Researchers can spin up agents quickly using the free self-registration flow and starter credits, testing different LLM models and tools without upfront commitments.
- MCP Tool Monetization : Developers building MCP servers can connect them to ATXP so other agents can discover and pay for their tools directly, creating a monetizable service layer.
- Long-Running Task Automation : Agents handling extended workflows — browsing, generating media, executing code, and emailing results — can operate continuously from a single funded account without human re-provisioning.
